Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is the act of using another person’s same contents or ideas without giving credit to that person. The authors are strictly advised not to indulge in any form of plagiarism. If the content is found to be plagiarised, the Editor and the journal committee will take serious action in this regard and the author will be responsible for the entire manuscript.

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. Once a manuscript is submitted to the Journal, the editorial office conducts a preliminary check concerning plagiarism. If plagiarized content is less than 16%, the author may be asked to revise the manuscript. If substantial plagiarism (>16%) is noticed in manuscript content or part thereof, the manuscript is straight away rejected. Plagiarism takes many forms, from publishing another‘s paper as the author‘s paper to copying or paraphrasing substantial parts of another‘s paper (without acknowledgment), to claiming results from research conducted by others. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Reviewers also conduct the plagiarism check similarly and can make recommendations on whether or not to consider the manuscript further. Even after acceptance of the manuscript or post-publication, if the plagiarism/duplication/re-publication of already published work in any language is observed, the case is referred to the executive board which conducts a full inquiry giving due opportunity to the concerned authors. In case of violation of provisions contained in the author's agreement or of grave and unethical misconduct as a researcher concerning publishing the work, the published article may be retracted with no refund/adjustment of the manuscript handling fee under intimation to the author's institution/funding agency.

We are a sponsored member of CrossCheck by CrossRef and iThenticate. iThenticate is a plagiarism screening service that verifies the originality of content submitted before publication. iThenticate checks submissions against millions of published research papers and billions of web content. All the articles submitted usually go for a plagiarism check through iThenticate.

Upon submission, the manuscript undergoes a quick screening for its content as per the scope of the journal.

Then, the manuscript is checked for plagiarism and sent to an editorial board member for approval before being sent for peer review. It is at the sole discretion of our editors (based on the percentage of plagiarism encountered) that a plagiarized manuscript is rejected and/or the author is given some time to resubmit the corrected, non-plagiarized manuscript, which shall be treated as a fresh submission.

This reduces the burden on our peer reviewers so that they can focus their time and effort on accessing the content of the manuscript, thus leading to an efficient peer review.

Plagiarism is discouraged at every step and can lead to the withdrawal of the manuscript/article.
